Greendale Construction has been restoring listed and historic buildings across Dorset and the south of England since the mid-1990s. Our heritage building restoration work includes castles, museums, scheduled monuments and churches, as well as Grade I and Grade II listed public buildings – among them the £1.9m restoration of Grade I listed Highcliffe Castle and conservation works at Shire Hall in Dorchester.

Listed building restoration and conservation-led repair

Many of our projects are undertaken in live environments, where consideration of building users is of the utmost importance. We have built up an experienced workforce who take unmatched care in their work and are not fazed by what they are trusted to deliver. Between our own direct workforce and specialist sub-contractors we can provide high quality stonework, roofing, lead work and metal work, as well as lime pointing/plastering, carpentry and joinery.

Heritage building restoration across Dorset and the south of England

We work regularly alongside conservation officers and heritage consultants on buildings requiring listed building consent. Our clients include The National Lottery Heritage Fund, National Trust, Various Charities, BCP Council, Poole Methodists, the NHS, Private Individuals and Hotels.

“We are absolutely thrilled with the end result. Greendale has done an absolutely amazing job in updating the building, and conserving and bringing out more of the wonderful historic fabric. Your work has then made everything else possible.”

James Webb, Acting Director – Museum of East Dorset
