Greendale Construction were appointed to restore an otherwise inhabitable structure. The team used specialist skills to include the careful restoration of protected stonework. The specification also required the delivery of complex and high-tech structural glazing, and sophisticated M&E.
The existing barn was completely underpinned, and new floor slab constructed with service culvert. The Green Oak roof was pre-fabricated off site and installed over a ten-day period. The oak was then shot blasted to bring out the colour and texture of the wood. Constructed around a magnificent new green oak roof structure, Manor Barn features a new kitchen wing, bedroom wing and basement with cinema room.
