Robert Hooker MCIOB
Construction & Marketing Director
Following a successful start to his career with established contractors and attaining MCIOB, Rob set up Greendale Construction Limited incorporating the company with co-founder Chris Kane in 1990. Since then, Rob has, with the help of the Greendale team, guided and managed the planned growth of the business, implementing strategic company policy to make Greendale a leading regional contractor in central Southern England.
Rob has a passion for historic conservation projects and is instrumental in making Greendale a well-respected and leading constructor in this specialist sector.
Rob studied at Hertfordshire College of Building and trained in London with Y.J. Lovell before moving to Bournemouth in 1981 where he joined Ernest Ireland Construction [Mowlem Group] as a Site Manager. In 1985 he became a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building and subsequently worked as Contracts Manager for Horton Construction.
In 2009, Rob became a board member for the CIOB Chartered Building Company Scheme. From 2013 to 2017 Rob chaired the Employers Engagement Committee for the CIOB and reported directly to the COIB Business Development Board.

Business Development Director
Chris set up Greendale Construction Limited incorporating the company with co-founder Rob Hooker in 1990. As a Director Chris is involved in all aspects of running and managing the business, with a particular focus on the Business Development for the company. Chris brings a wealth of building and property experience to Greendale.
A student at Central London Polytechnic, Chris achieved a BSc (Honours) Degree in Building in 1987 and spent his formative years working for a Chelsea based property developer. Later, he moved to Bournemouth to work on the New Operations Centre for Chase Manhattan Bank N.A as part of the Project Management Team.
Chris is influential in the property sector, and has been involved with the Bournemouth Property Association (BPA) for the past six years. He has been Vice Chairman of the BPA for the past two years.

Andrew Musselwhite FCIOB
Contracts Director
Andy joined Greendale in September 2004 as Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor and was invited to join the board of Greendale Construction on 1st January 2013.
Andy trained originally as an Apprentice Carpenter and Joiner with DF Blanchard (Salisbury) Ltd, spending time on site and then progressed to Joinery Manager and later to Contracts Management and Senior Surveyor. In 1999, Andy achieved a Higher National Certificate (HNC) and became a member of the CIOB, receiving Fellowship Status in 2009.
Andy is the Director responsible for Health & Safety within the company. He also sits on the board of The Building Safety Group (BSG).

Maria Seabright MIoD
Finance & HR Director
Maria joined Greendale in 1997 bringing with her a wealth of experience from the construction industry. She was invited to join the board of directors on 1st January 2013. Maria is responsible for the Finance, HR & Training within the company.
Maria works closely with local schools and colleges promoting the industry. She is also the Director & Chair of the Dorset Construction Training Forum which is a “not for profit” organisation that encourages other construction companies to train and share best practice working closely alongside the CITB. In 2012 Maria achieved her NVQ Level 3 in Leadership and Management, and in 2014 became a member of the Institute of Directors
Maria has forged closed links with the CITB & FMB and has been asked to speak at the Houses of Parliament on several occasions regarding Construction Apprenticeships. Maria is also the CITB Construction Ambassador for Dorset.

Aedan Carroll BSc Hons
Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Manager
Aedan joined Greendale in 2023 as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Manager at our Winchester office. Aedan attended Mid Kent College before gaining a BSc Hons degree in Quantity Surveying at the University of Greenwich. Prior to joining Greendale Aedan gained 5 years’ experience as an Assistant QS, and Quantity Surveyor with a Hampshire based building services firm. In 2024 Aedan’s role became Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Manager, looking after projects across the Hampshire region.

Charlotte Holyoake Assoc CIPD, BA (Hons)
HR Manager
Charlotte joined Greendale in 2013 as HR & Training Assistant. In January 2017 Charlotte was promoted to HR Manager and works alongside the HR Director will all aspects of HR & Training for the company. Charlotte completed her degree in Business Management at Oxford Brookes University in 2008 and has gained extensive experience working as an HR officer for a well-known theme park prior to joining Greendale

Dave joined Greendale Construction in 1998 as an Apprentice Carpenter. Since then he has worked his way up to become one of our Senior Site Managers and in 2025 was appointed to the Senior Leadership Team.
James Piddock MCIOB BSc Hons
Quantity Surveyor
James joined Greendale in 2023 as a Quantity Surveyor after gaining 10 years QS experience with local Dorset based construction firms. James studied locally at Oakmead College of Technology before attending the University of the West of England, where he gained his BSc Hons Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management degree. James works on Greendale projects based out of our Poole office.

After completing his apprenticeship, Chris went on to manage some of Greendale’s smaller projects from 2013. He achieved his HNC in Construction Management in 2015.
In 2016 Chris joined the office management team as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Manager looking after some of our smaller projects and assisting Senior Surveyors and Managers on some of the larger projects.
In 2021 Chris graduated from Southampton Solent University with a BSc (Hons) in Construction Management and now holds the role of Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager.

John Walker BSc Construction
Pre-Construction Manager
John joined us in April 2023 as an Estimator, working out of our main headquarters in Poole. Having attended Bournemouth and Poole College, John went on to gain his degree in Construction at Southampton University. In January 2025 John was promoted to Pre-Construction Manager, making him responsible for managing Greendale’s Bid process, and implementing the Pre-Construction technical elements of our tender submissions . John will continue to Estimate projects when time permits.
John previously worked for construction and fit-out main contractors, working on small to large projects within a Quantity Surveyor role, but also completing cost estimates for construction, fit-out and refurbishment projects located throughout the UK.

Contracts Manager
Richard joined the Greendale team as Contracts Manager in 2024 and works from our busy Poole office.
Richard has a wealth of experience in project management and successfully ran his own contracts management business for many years. Richard holds a degree in Building Engineering and Management and is an Incorporated member of the CIOB.

Jamie Mulholland
Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Jamie joined the Greendale team as Assistant Quantity Surveyor in March 2025 and works from our busy Winchester office supporting our Quantity Surveyors and Contracts Managers.

Simon Copping MCIOB
Contracts Manager
Simon has been with Greendale Construction for 13 years after joining us in 2012 as a Project Manager. After working successfully on a number of high profile Greendale projects, Simon’s career progression within the company has now led him into the role of Contracts Manager based at our Winchester office.

Ben joined Greendale in 2023 as Contracts Manager based at our Poole head office. With over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, Ben is a skilled carpenter and joiner who has owned his own business, and is now continuing his career in Contracts Management.

Dan joined Greendale’s Quantity Surveying team in June 2024 bringing with him extensive experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for firms across Dorset and Hampshire, as well as spending time working as a QS in London. Dan graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in Mathematics.

Estimator
Ian joined the Poole office in November 2025 as Estimator. Ian brings with him a wealth of experience having owned his own business for over 25 years and has also worked in Estimating for the last 13 years, delivering estimates for both commercial and domestic properties, and providing technical advice.

Graham Bannister
Estimator
Graham joined Greendale’s Estimating team in May 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience having worked as a Senior Estimator for more than 20 years. In his previous roles, Graham secured multi-million-pound contracts for construction companies across the south. Graham also has a HND in Building from Southampton College of Higher Education.

Tony Clifft
Estimator
Tony joined the Greendale estimating team with experience in both estimating and quantity surveying, and is experienced in both working for other main contractors as well working for himself.
With an HNC in Building Studies, Tony is based at our Poole HQ and will be carrying out estimates / tender submissions to enquiries, and producing competitively priced tenders for our clients.

Sue joined Greendale in July 2003 as Accounts Administrator. Sue assists the Finance Director with the day to day responsibility of the company accounts. In 2012 Sue achieved her NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration.
Anna Carney
Project Support Co-Ordinator
Anna joined Greendale Construction in June 2011. She has worked extensively within the construction industry gaining experience in Health & Safety, marketing and all aspects of construction administration. Prior to joining the company Anna achieved her NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration in and Since joining she has achieved her NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration. Anna is now our Project Support Co-Ordinator.

Anna is now our Project Support Co-Ordinator.

Susan joined Greendale in September 2015 on a temporary maternity contract to cover HR & Training. She was subsequently asked to join permanently as a part-time Office Administrator assisting with all aspects of administration within the Greendale office.

Sarah joined Greendale as Purchase Ledger Clerk, working part-time to support our Accounts Administrator, Sue, with the accounts. Sarah brings with her a wealth of experience working in Finance and Accounts and has also completed her AAT qualification.
