Greendale’s Commercial Director, Chris Cave, was delighted to be asked by the Chair of the RIBA Dorset, Rebecca Smith, from Western Design Architects, to conduct a guided tour of Poole Museum and Scaplen’s Court yesterday evening – 21.05.26 – before the RIBA Dorset AGM later that evening.
Thirty guests were treated to a detailed tour and explanation, by Chris, of the works Greendale has carried out for Poole Museum over the years, most recently where we successfully delivered extensive conservation, restoration, and refurbishment works at Poole Museum and Scaplen’s Court on behalf of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council. This £4.4 million phase followed an earlier £950k contract where Greendale used a combination of modern and traditional building techniques during a substantial design and build project for this popular visitor attraction. All display floors of the Grade II listed warehouse were upgraded, and a new feature area created to exhibit an Iron Age log boat.
