Inside The Weavery
The Lantern Community, based near Ringwood, offers adults with a learning disability the possibility to contribute and partake in a mutually supportive environment. The Community has spent over ten years fundraising for the project which Greendale are helping make real and are close to completing. The new Pottery and Weavery, being built by Greendale, will use green and ecological methods wherever appropriate and will enable the 34 adult residents and 10 day placements with a learning disability, to experience meaningful day opportunities from 9-5pm, 5 days a week. The shot above shows how The Weavery is looking so close to completion.

Work at Blandford Brewery has recently started for Greendale who are carrying our a 50 week project, due to complete in February 2015, which involves the development of the modernization of the brewery production site which comprise demolition and rebuild of the main packaging hall including the construction of a new bottling plant; new build extension to the tank farm; alterations to the warehouse and a new weather canopy to the loading area. The contract is to be undertaken whilst in the the middle of a ‘live operation’ with over 200 team members and tenants carrying on business as usual in and around the site.

Blandford Hospital is a particularly exciting project for Greendale as it was a project Greendale Director, Rob Hooker, was involved with almost 30 years ago when he was a site manager for a construction company involved with building the hospital. 2014 sees Rob returning to visit the site, but this time as Director of his own hugely successful construction company, Greendale Construction!
