Greendale founding director, Rob Hooker, was delighted to be invited by the CIOB to Southampton last Thursday to meet with Caroline Gumble, CEO.
Caroline joined the CIOB as CEO in August, and is keen to meet with as many members as possible. As Greendale has been one of longest running Chartered Building Companies since 1993, it was important for Caroline to meet with Rob to discuss Greendale and her vision for the CIOB.
The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is the world’s largest and most influential professional body for construction management and leadership. It has a Royal Charter to promote the science and practice of building and construction for the benefit of society, and has been doing that since 1834. CIOB members work worldwide in the development, conservation and improvement of the built environment.
The CIOB accredit university degrees, educational courses and training. It’s professional and vocational qualifications are a mark of the highest levels of competence and professionalism, providing assurance to clients and other professionals procuring built assets.
Rob commented: “It was a real pleasure to meet with Caroline and discuss her plans for the CIOB, as well as Greendale’s plans for the future. It’s fantastic to have such a proactive and engaging CEO at the CIOB, and we very much look forward to welcoming Caroline to the Greendale Construction offices in the near future for a tour and to get to know us even better. Caroline was genuinely interested in what we are doing as a CBC and how we promote the CIOB and encourage and sponsor our staff to go on the MCIOB journey.”
