Greendale Construction Limited has successfully handed over a 5 week refurbishment at Breeze Volkswagen’s Poole branch, in-line with the brand’s pilot scheme of creating a ‘blended retail concept’ across its showrooms.
The Poole branch is one of the first Volkswagen retailers in the country to have the full ‘blended retail’ experience, which will see barriers such as desks and PCs removed from the showroom and replaced with soft seating and relaxed, café style areas. Customers will be able to build their car specifications with Breeze sales executives using ipads, which can be linked to a larger screen for viewing.
Greendale’s small work’s division has created a new, more usable and modern environment for both the staff and customers by increasing usable space within the existing sales managers’ areas and updating existing services to improve the new proposed office layout.
Partitioning was replaced with new, creating larger working areas. Greendale also increased useable space to showcase vehicles, as well as creating more customer seating by removing the offices and integrating existing finishes into new. The remainder of works involved creating a new admin office space through installation of new partitions allowing more privacy within this area for Volkswagen employees.
Breeze Volkswagen Brand Manager, Mark Langford, said: “The new concept showroom focuses entirely on our cars and our customers. We are really proud to be chosen as a pilot scheme and can’t wait to show our customers.”
Greendale Construction Director, Chris Kane, said: “Greendale is proud to have been chosen by Breeze Volkswagen, Poole, to help it become one of the first showrooms in the country to launch its blended retail concept. We wish them every success with this pilot scheme which we are sure will be welcomed by its customers.”
