Having spent thirteen years as PA to Greendale Directors Rob Hooker & Chris Kane, Christine Barker was invited to the Office 2013 event for their launch of the ‘Longest Serving PA,’ as part of the ‘Celebrate National PA Day’ on 8th October 2013.
The initiative was aimed at highlighting the important contributions and commitments of long serving PA professionals in UK businesses.
The winner of the event was Avril Dibbens who has worked for the Ministry of Defence for a remarkable 51 years and intends to make this 55 before she retires!
The event was held at Olympia Kensington during the first day of the show and all finalists were invited to the Starwood Hotels stand for a champagne reception and the presentation prize of a night’s stay at Park Tower Knightsbridge, London.
Chrissie said: “It was an honour to be invited to the event and get the opportunity to chat with so many other long standing PA’s.”
Chrissie has actually been a PA for an incredible 29 years, with 13 of these spent at Greendale. This year she was a finalist in the PA of the Year category of the Venus Women in Business Awards.
