Everyone at Greendale is delighted to be celebrating 24 fantastic years as one of the most successful construction companies in Dorset. Over the last 24 years, Greendale has gone from strength to strength. We’ve worked our way up from the days when founding Director’s Rob Hooker and Chris Kane first started the business in Poole, Dorset, to last year being awarded the prestigious FMB Award for Master Builder of the Year in the Commercial Sector with our work on Durlston Castle. Being announced as the winner by architect and TV’s ‘Amazing Spaces’ presenter, George Clarke, at the glamorous event in London was certainly something we could only have dreamt about 24 years ago, but, as the Greendale mission has always been to provide building excellence and superior value, it is something we always knew we could achieve, and will continue to strive for as our business grows in the next 24 years!
The quality of our work and our professionalism has been recognised with numerous other awards and accreditations over the past 24 years. In 1992 we achieved Chartered Building Company status and are founder members of the scheme. We’ve also won Master Builder of the year commendations for projects and apprentices in 1994, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2005 and 2008. Greendale were regional winners of the 2005 Master Building of the Year competition for our work at Parkstone Golf Club, and we were regional winners and national runners up for Apprentice of the Year 2008. We’ve had Investors In People accreditation since 2003 and are also registered members of Construction Line, Safe Contractors, CHAS, Exor and the NHBC.
In January 2013 we increased our Board by appointing 2 new Directors, Maria Seabright as HR Finance Director and Andy Musselwhite as Contracts Director.
Our experience and opinions are highly valued in the construction industry and we are regularly asked to contribute to professional and National trade publications – most recently Rob took part in a feature for Construction Manager Magazine which can be read here.
As Greendale Construction continue to grow and grow, we thank all our talented and dedicated employees, clients, business associates, suppliers, and friends of the company who have supported us over the last 24 years, and look forward to a bright and successful future continuing to provide building excellence and superior value across the South and beyond!
