We were delighted to be able to hand these goodies over to Ashley’s Birthday Bank.
Ashley’s Birthday Bank help underprivileged families in the East Dorset area. One in five children in Bournemouth live below the poverty line according to shocking statistics just released. Ashley’s Birthday Bank provide birthday presents and a mini crisis service (bedding, food parcels, toys, clothing, nappies, baby equipment etc) throughout the year. This Christmas they are helping around 800 children and their families facing poverty, who are currently in local refuges, mother & baby units or have been referred to us by Children’s Centres or local Schools.
Ashley’s Birthday Bank Christmas appeal has received tremendous support from local Companies, including Greendale, and individuals, and as a result are able to support all the families who have been put forward for help this year.
Jo Kennedy (Chairperson and Trustee) said: “Thank you so much to Greendale Construction for collecting an amazing amount of gifts, toys and food items for our appeal. We are able to provide Christmas gifts, not only for the younger children, but the teenagers too. We will also be making up food parcels for some of the families, and you have enabled up to do this.”
