Greendale Construction are delighted to announce that this season they will be player sponsor for Micky Hubbard of Wimborne Town Football Club.
Micky, who is the clubs Vice Captain, plays Centre Midfield for Wimborne Town and has the privilege of taking all the penalties and set pieces for his team. He joined Wimborne Town last season and in his first season for the club was awarded the clubs coveted golden boot award for being top scorer and scoring 16 goals as well as reaching the final of the Dorset Senior Cup. Last season Wimborne Town finished 12th in their league but the club have high hopes for finishing higher this season.
Micky said “It’s great to have a local company sponsor me for this season, I am very grateful. I enjoy playing for Wimborne Town because of the nature of the club. I have received great support from the club, fans, players, manager, chairman and directors of the club. I am really looking forward to this coming season”.
Micky has a proven track record previously spending four seasons playing for Poole Town FC and was one of the many players instrumental in helping them win the Wessex league three seasons in a row as well as reaching the FA Vase semi-finals. During his time at Poole Town he won players player and supporters player of the year award. Micky has also has stints at local clubs Hamworthy United, Gosport Borough and Bournemouth Poppies.
He spent 5 years at AFC Bournemouth as an apprentice playing games for the reserve team and making appearances for the first team in friendlies.
