Monday saw Maria and Pete go back to school and meet the pupils of Poole High School at their Employability Exhibition. The Exhibition is an important event for the local school which invites repected local businesses to chat to the students about their company and industry – many of whom are undecided on their future careers – to enable them to ask questions and hopefully be better prepared when it comes to the important decisions affecting their career paths.
The Exhibition was open to students and parents and was attended by approximately 500 students in Year 9, Year 10, and Year 11 and some Senior School Students. Attendees were able to get information from Maria and Pete on what it’s like to work in the construction industry, work experience placements and college opportunities.
Maria and Pete enjoyed the exhausting day and meeting with all the enthusiastic students – some of which we hope to be able to offer work experience and career opportunities to at Greendale in the future.
