We are again hugely grateful to Greendale’s wonderfully generous employees who have helped out another local charity; this time by donating unwanted mobile phones.
We recently heard about a very brave little girl, Sophie, who is 7 years old and has DIPG; a form of childhood brain cancer growing in the brain stem making surgery impossible. There is no treatment or cure. Sophie’s family and friends do lots of fundraising and are currently trying to collect 250 mobile phones, in any condition, in order to get Sophie the equipment she needs to enable her to continue communicating as the DIPG takes hold of muscle control in her face and throat. Sophie’s fund still needed 150 mobile phones and our employees managed to donate an incredible 114!

Thank you to everyone at Greendale Construction, you have all been marvellous and your contribution will make a difference. The fact that you have been able to collect so many phones and charges (114 combined) means that not only did we meet the 250 minimum we are on our way to raising 400. All will be exchanged for vital communication equipment enabling Sophie to continue communicating at such time as needed. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to everyone.
