Value: £121,000
Client: Royal National Lifeboat Association (RNLI)
Duration: 20 weeks
Project Description:
Greendale was proud to be the main contractor for the construction of an inspirational memorial dedicated to 778 RNLI volunteers from the UK and Republic of Ireland who lost their lives saving others at sea. Located at the entrance to the world-leading RNLI college, our work involved underground services diversions, the construction of a new service culvert, building a feature curved screen wall, and installation of the striking new memorial itself. The project also included hard and soft landscaping, together with the installation of flood lighting and CCTV.
The memorial was opened by the Duke of Kent, President of the RNLI, at a moving ceremony of dedication.
