Project Description:
Greendale Construction were appointed to construct the extension, internal alteration and refurbishment of this previous Audi dealership in Poole, Dorset. After successfully refurbishing the Audi dealership in 2006 we were appointed by our client, Ocean Automotive, in 2018 to convert the dealership into a brand-new Volvo showroom.
The overall design objective for these works was to rebrand the showroom in line with all other Volvo dealerships across the country. Working with Volvo ‘brand guardians’ we successfully transformed the building in line with the brand’s specific requirements and specification.
In order to reduce its overall carbon footprint, low energy LED lighting was installed throughout and natural ventilation was encouraged. As part of the specification we also installed several electrical car charging points. All mechanical and electrical, and air conditioning systems, were replaced for the most modern, energy efficient systems.
In more detail, works carried out included extensions to the front elevation/main entrance new doors and window openings, new front glazed façade, new partitions, wall, floor and ceiling finishes, new M&E installations, signage and redecoration, groundworks, foundations, drainage and car park remodelling.
