Project Description:
Greendale are proud to have carried out a major project at one of the busiest leisure centres in the UK. Our client BH Live implemented a major investment at the Littledown Centre with a large extension to the gym area and general improvements throughout the building. Greendale were selected for their expertise in working within operational buildings whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
The project was carried out over a number of phases, including the refurbishment of the existing offices, a major extension, alterations to the existing lower ground floor gym, and conversion of the main offices to form two new dance studios.
Major structural steelwork and temporary works were required to create the new space, with high ceilings and state of the art lighting, power and ventilation/cooling systems. New sports flooring was laid throughout.
The result is the creation of a state of the art, modern, airy facility which we hope will be enjoyed by many people to come. The overall size of the extended and altered gym was approximately 10,500 sq ft.
