Project Description:
Greendale Construction were appointed to provide accessibility works at Christchurch Sailing Club; opening up areas of the building previously not fully utilised, as well as enabling easier access for all. The works, which were completed on time and within budget, included the installation of a new Titan lift, enlarging the doorway to the clubroom with new light oak and glass double doors and the installation of a new light oak staircase. New doors were added to the galley and disabled toilet, and the installation of new sanitary ware and baby changing facilities has fully modernised the facilities of the club and provided well needed access for all members.
Whilst the works continued, members continued to access most of the club for social and boating requirements. As a result, protective screens and signage were put in place to separate the members from the live construction works.
All of the refurbishment works were well received from the Club.
