Project Description:
On the shores of Poole Harbour, Rockley Park provides exclusive holiday experiences for both visitors and owners of holiday homes. Greendale’s contract was to provide a new Spa facility and exclusive owners club for a new client at Rockley Park. The work, which involved extending and changing the use of two buildings, as well as creating a large external BBQ area, refurbishment of toilets and changing rooms, and a new beer cellar, to a high-quality bespoke finish, was completed on time in readiness for the new holiday season.
the owner’s club was moved from the old building to the previous spa. This involved a complete strip out of the old spa and constructing a new extension (“orangery” style). The construction was traditional strip foundations, masonry and large timber windows to match the existing building. Internal finishes were of a high quality to give a boutique feel to the new club house. New studworks walls were erected to full and partial heights to create several small spaces in a large open area. A new bespoke bar was installed next to the new commercial kitchen. This allows the serving of food throughout the new facility and to the extensive external decked areas.
The spa was moved from the old building to its new position previously occupied by the owner’s club. The creation of the new spa involved a complete strip out of the existing build back to shell, and a new internal fit out. Four new treatment rooms were created including shower rooms. The facility is heavily serviced, with air conditioning, power, data and numerous new domestic hot and cold water supplies and associated drainage. All new doors are walnut laminated with brushed stainless-steel ironmongery.
