Yesterday, Dependable TV came along to our Winton Primary School site to film Maria Seabright for The Pride of Construction Awards where she has been shortlisted in the CITB Personality of the Year Award.
The awards, which marks CITB’s 50th anniversary, recognise the contribution made by industry leaders, businesses, training organisations, partners and apprentices in the last five decades and pays special tribute to those who have left a lasting legacy for future generations.
The CITB Personality of the Year award recognises an outstanding individual who uses their standing and personality to raise the profile of the construction industry. Judges will be looking for an individual who has made the greatest impression in the world of construction and a significant contribution to raising the profile of skills and training.
Judges will be looking for evidence of:
• Demonstrable passion for the industry
• Uses their profile to champion construction issues
• Uses their positive influence with industry peers and government to drive change
• Inspires a generation of young people to make a career in construction
• Has the profile to unify industry groups, partnerships and other bodies around key agendas.
The awards will be held at Old Billingsgate on 10 September 2014 at 6.30pm where Maria will be in attendance and we will all be crossing our fingers and toes for her!
